I'm a novice at investing in silver coins. Coin dealers are claiming a .50 fee per coin and it doesn't matter if I buy one or a hundred or more...the fee is still the same. I'm interested in about a hundred and I feel that a .50 dealer fee per coin for that many coins is a little steep. How can I get a better rate?

What is real money? I can give the Webster's dictionary version here: "something generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment: as a: officially coined or stamped metal currency b: money of account c: paper money". My version is that money is that thing of value given to another party in exchange for something else of value, atleast to the parties involved. Sounds like the dictionary's version almost. So why didnt I just say that money is those greenish pieces of paper we carry around in our pockets with dead Presidents' faces on them? Because they are really not money at all. The key in both versions of our money definitions is the word, "value". Money has to have value, or what’s called "intrinsic value". This is value inherent in whatever is being offered as valuable. This is normally decided upon by many, many people over a long period of time, the ‘de facto’ standard. These peoples over a long time seemed to have chosen gold and silver as the preferred money. Our Constitution states that our money "shall be coined of gold and silver" as well. If you want to purchase real silver coin money, see the listings below:
